1991 Ford Taurus SHO

History :: The Illinois Years ::
	The SHO resided in Northern Illinois under the ownership of my father from its delivery date, 21-JAN-1991, until 18-MAR-1998. Mileage on the SHO went from 67 at delivery to 74,301 when it arrived via moving van in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. At an average of 10,614 miles per year, I considered it a low mileage vehicle. The majority of the miles came from highway trips either to the East Coast to visit family or to Florida for vacations. During its time in Illinois, the SHO was operated primarily by my father. Until my wife and I moved to California (Fall 1994), I had the pleasure of driving the SHO when Dad and I would go to play golf or when my parents and my wife and I went to dinner. During these years the SHO remained bone stock. The OEM tires were replaced just once in IL (at 43,456 ... yes dad DID take it easy on the SHO). As would be expected, even in the flatlands of IL, the front rotors were replaced.	(Illinois)
	At some point in early 1998, my father decided that he was tired of shifting gears in his daily driver. Dad began the hunt for a new car and discussions began as to whether I would be interested in obtaining the SHO. In case you hadn't guessed, the discussions did not take all that long. In March of '98 Dad found a replacement vehicle (Toyota Avalon - ATX) and the SHO made its way to California. Continue the story with the move to California
