History ::  Move to CA ::
Rather than fly back to Chicago and make the multi-day drive back to CA with the SHO, we decided to ship the car on a moving van. After much research on my father's part, dock-to-dock transportation service was procured by United Van Lines.

On 18-MAR-1998, the SHO was packed into an enclosed moving van, carrier liability was set to $20,000 and the SHO departed IL. Departure point was Suburban Moving & Storage (the nearest United dock to my parents' house). Maureen was our contact for the duration of the moving process and the service was excellent. The trip took about 10 days with the SHO arriving in CA on 29-MAR-1998.

My wife and I went to pick up the SHO at LDM Moving Service (the nearest United Van Lines dock to our house at the time). Upon arrival, the car had 74,301 miles on the odomoter.
